Utility/Private EV Charging Incentive – Dakota Electric Association (DEA)

Dakota Electric® members enrolled in the ChargeWise program receive a reduced rate for the electricity used to charge PEVs between specified off-peak hours. Installation of a ChargeWise circuit is required. For details, visit the Dakota Electric Vehicle Charging website.

Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Rate Incentive and EVSE Rebates

Utility/Private EV Charging Incentive – Connexus Energy
Time of Day Program:

Connexus Energy offers reduced electric rates to residential customers in their service territory who charge PEVs. To participate, customers may contact their own electrician or Connexus Energy’s electrician to install the metering equipment. The meter must be permitted and inspected. Residential Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE) Rebate:

Connexus Energy offers a $500 rebate for a previously purchased, qualifying Level 2 (240 Volt outlet) EV charger. Must be enrolled in the Time-of-Day rate program and EVSE must be installed in Connexus Energy service territory. Applications must be submitted by December 31, 2022. Non-Residential Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE) Rebate:

Connexus Energy offers commercial customers a rebate of up to $2,000 for the purchase and installation of Level 2 EVSE. Eligible applicants include public entities, workplaces, multi-family units, and fleets. For details, please visit the Conexus Energy Electric Vehicle website.

Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Station Rebate

Utility/Private EV Charging Incentive – Great River Energy

Great River Energy provides rebates for the purchase or lease of Level 2 EV chargers. Rebates are available for public, workplace, multifamily, and fleet charging stations. Utility/Private EV Charging Incentive – Lake Region Electric Cooperative (LREC)

Electric vehicle owners can save money every time they charge their car with LREC’s new ChargeWise EV rate. ChargeWise is a time-of-use rate, which allows you to choose what time to charge your car and how much you pay. The least expensive off-peak rate of 7.07₵ is available more than 60% of the time and is the equivalent of $.70 per gallon gas if the car gets 30 MPG. For more information visit the LREC website.

Utility/Private EV Charging Incentive – Lake Region Electric Cooperative (LREC)

This program requires that a separate sub-metered circuit be installed to accommodate an Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE) charging station. A rebate of up to $500 is available through ChargeWise for the installation of a Level 1 or Level 2 EVSE charging station. Call Energy Management at (800) 552-7658 for more information.

Utility/Private EV Charging Incentive – Otter Tail Power company

Otter Tail Power Company offers eligible customers a rebate of $400 when you install a Level 2 EV charger on a qualified off-peak rate including their Dual Fuel, Deferred Load, Fixed Time of Delivery, RDC, or Minnesota Electric Vehicle Charging Rate. For details and how to apply visit: otpco.com.

Utility/Private EV Charging Incentive – Runestone Electric Association (REA)

Runestone Electric Association offers rebates to residential customers of up to $500 for the installation of Level 2 EVSE. To receive the full rebate, eligible applicants must enroll the EVSE on a storage electricity rate of $0.469 per kilowatt hour. EVSE not installed on storage rates will receive $250. Utility/Private EV Charging Incentive – Xcel Energy
